WEBINAR: Indicators' Coherence with the Sustainable Development Goals
On March 23, 2016 at 11am-1pm (EST) we will be hosting a webinar to discuss links between the SDGs and Canadian national sustainability indicator sets.
We will be hosting the last of the Canadian Sustainability Indicators Network (CSIN) webinars for this year on March 23, 2016 at 11am-1pm EST.
Critical to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be our ability to monitor progress, adjust our efforts as necessary, and identify gaps as we move towards 2030. The final indicator set to monitor the SDGs is to be announced in mid-March 2016.
In this webinar we will review the proposed SDGs indicators, and potential sources of data used at the national level in Canada and elsewhere to report on them.
We will also review some current provincial and community data monitoring related to sustainable development for their relevance to the accounted SDGs indicators. This will help provinces to identify how compatible their indicators are with the SDGs for future planning and monitoring.
